There have been many racing games on the iOS. However there have not been enough Mario Kart racing type games that have been successful. KartRider Rush fulfils that very well. The game has great controls that are reliable and respond just as you would hope which always really helps.

KartRider Rush
GT Racing: Motor Academy Free+
The biggest, most content filled and greatest visual graphics I have come across yet as car racing games are concerned. In this game you can find almost every car available and unlock them. Race them on the road. Drift them in the dirt. Or even skid them on the snow.
Real Racing GTI
The one problem that most racing games on the iOS have in common are the terrible controls that always seem to be far too complicated or sensitive. This game seems to not have any of those issues. In this game you drive some of the Volkswagen cars at rather fast speed with fantastic controls.
Whacksy Taxi
Forget the movie Taxi. This Whacksy Taxi is the most epic vehicle I have yet to see in the public transport category of “racing” games. You play a taxi which can hop from lane to lane, fly, has nitros and can jump over vehicles, all from simply picking up a power-up hovering on the floor.
Jet Car Stunts Lite
In this game you play a really futuristic jet car that has nitros, wings and can glide. Do the many courses that require you to do some of the most amazing stunts hence its name “Jet Car Stunts”. The visuals in this game were really great and actually do get you very excited when you manage to do any of its many stunts.
Raging Thunder 2 Lite
Race in one of the many super cars available in Raging Thunder 2. After configuring your sensitivity and tilt the game becomes far more enjoyable. So I would highly recommend doing this before really playing the game.
Need for Speed Shift FREE
This game was very well made and was rather surprising for its Free version to have so many of the great content in it. You are capable of racing in various viewpoints one even being in the driver’s seat which added to the entire experience anyone would get when playing.
Fastlane Street Racing Lite
A really simple to handle and enjoyable racing game, race through tracks, or even roads with traffic against other racers. What made this game so attractive in comparison to other games was that the controls were so smooth and easy to pick up.
Fast & Furious (Test Drive Edition)
Fast & Furious? I think not. The test drive edition provides players with nothing to base the actual game on, I honestly do not feel compelled to play the actual Fast & Furious if this is all the demo is willing to give me.
